Women’s Creativity Takes Centre Stage at Kenwyn House for International Women’s Day

An atmosphere of creativity, celebration, and community filled Kenwyn House on the morning of 6 March as artists, creatives, and members of the public gathered for the launch of the Women’s Day Art Exhibition and Creative Fair.

Held in celebration of International Women's Day, the exhibition embraces the 2026 global theme “Give to Gain,” exploring the idea that when women are given opportunities, support, and space to grow, they in turn contribute immeasurably to their families, communities, and industries.

The launch event featured a vibrant Creative Fair showcasing the work of local women artisans and creators, offering visitors the opportunity to discover handmade products, artwork, and crafts while engaging directly with the talented women behind them. The fair formed part of the opening celebrations on 6 March, setting a lively and welcoming tone for the exhibition.

Speaking during the launch, Gran Kaz PR Manager, Shama Amesbury reflected on the broader meaning behind the theme. Women are often described as multipliers — individuals who transform what they are given into something that benefits others. Whether nurturing families, leading businesses, innovating in professional fields, or contributing through art and culture, women continuously give back to their communities.

However, the morning also highlighted an important message: before women can contribute fully, they must first be given the opportunity to step forward. Providing access, visibility, and encouragement remains essential to ensuring women’s talents and perspectives continue to flourish.

Through a diverse collection of artworks and creative expressions, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the many ways women interpret the concept of giving and gaining — from personal journeys and social reflections to themes of resilience, identity, and empowerment.

The Women’s Day Art Exhibition will remain open to the public at Kenwyn House until 3rd April, allowing visitors to continue discovering the creativity and perspectives of local women artists long after the launch event.
